Will be required to communicate with application owners and understand and translate functional requirements into software application functionality. Will work with the customer to identify and discuss system functionality. In this position the person will be required to do hands-on development using JAVA and J2EE technologies. The person must be a strong Java/J2EE developer. Must have hands-on development experience with J2EE components such as JSP, SERVLETS, EJB, JDBC and XML. Should have the ability to read requirements and design documents and develop code accordingly. Must be well versed with Object Oriented programming and analysis. Should have programming experience in C#. Self motivated and self starter. This position is based in Washington DC.

•Responsible for developing software application components and integration of software components within multiple applications.

•Responsible for writing J2EE compliant code using Java for an application development effort. This involves working with JSP, SERVLETS, JDBC, XML, EJB, C# etc.

•Will participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with corporate standards. MANDATORY: - BS in Computer Science or related discipline. - At least 5 years of professional software development experience. - At least 3 years of strong experience with Java/J2EE application development using Object Oriented design and principles. - Some experience with J2EE application tools such as Eclipse and/or Clearcase is desired. - Excellent communication and writing skills. - Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle processes
